Iron Steel Grit | Angular Sandblasting Abrasive

Steel grit is one type of steel abrasives with angular shapes as blasting abrasive or peening media.
Cast steel shot are tempered and heat-treated. Then it is crushed into angular steel grit.
As angular, carbon steel media, steel grit can remove scales, contaminants and old coatings quickly and effectively. High carbon steel grit produces an etched or angular surface profile and is well suited for cleaning, descaling, etching and de-sanding applications.
Steel Grit blast media is ideal for aggressive cleaning applications. Steel Grit will quickly strip many types of surface contaminants from steel and other foundry metals. Steel Grit is softer than Aluminum Oxide Grit and does not fracture as easily. The angular nature of Steel Grit produces an etched surface on metal for superior adhesion of paint, epoxy, enamel, rubber, and other coatings.
High quality steel grit from Mesblate has a long service life and is used in both shot blasting machine and sand blasting equipment. It is widely used in rail car reconditioning, removal of flashing, blasting bridges, metal parts and forging industry applications.
